Description

When I was lucky enough to discover I was one of the coveted few who landed a super limited edition of Walt Simonson's remarqued Artist's Edition, I immediately began cycling through what character and pose I wanted Walt to recreate on the cover. Did I want Beta Ray Bill or Thor? Did I want a cover recreation pose or something alltogether new? These questions literally kept me up at night - you get one shot at this, right? But I kept coming back to two images - the Thor 337 image you see here and the image of Beta Ray Bill in his space suit (as we first see him in the comic's interior). Needless to say the cover won out. I believe the 337 cover image to not only be the absolute best cover to come out of 1980s comics, but in my opinion it's one of the best covers ever created as well. How could I pass on a faithful recreation of this by Walt himself? :) Walt was also kind enough to add a gigantic Thor headsketch in the interior which I've also posted in this gallery.

I am having a wall mounted acrylic case made for it that allows for easy removal of the book.
