DescriptionWrightson - Dragonslayer - Circa 1969Just recently received this from Simon and was very excited to have a classic (circa 1969) Wrightson piece to add to my collection. This is the first time I've used quite so much of the Logan V-Groover... Everything went perfectly, except I'd intended for Bernie Wrightson to appear at the top, but got my box sizes reversed... Oops... However, I'd made the whole thing symmetrical, so turning over the mat worked out pretty much perferctly... (Big sigh of relief)... If anyone knows if this ever appeared in a publication, I'd be grateful to know any history there might be, previous owners, publications, etc...??? Also got a couple of Swamp Thing pieces from the Wrightsons recently, and I look forward to getting them framed and matted over the holidays... -Vaughn Social/Sharing |

Joseph, this is an amazing looking piece!!! I would love to see a closer, more detailed shot of the pencil work if possible.

When I pull the glass to replace it, I will get a more close up shot of the art piece itself, and try to remember to place these shots in other examples as I acquire them... Just got a "Dejah Thoris" pencil piece by Krenkel too... I've always had a soft spot for "A Pricess of Mars"... Thanks, -Vaughn
