Not a fan of the hard outline, but that aside, it's a lovely tonal sketch!

Yeah, I love Enric's work. The outline though is not typical for his style but it's a part of the transfer process from pencil to painting. He works from photo reference and typically when the sketch is done he'll redo the outline and main pointers over carbon paper to whatever medium he's going to do the painting on. That way he gets the precise outline of his sketch transferred but also "ruins" the sketch, if you look at it that way. Some project the sketches but mostly it's done this way because it's easy and fast. Usually you can look at the back of a pencil sketch on paper and you'll notice the outline is done way harder than the rest of the illustration - that means it was transferred. Anyway, sketches aren't really meant to be seen or printed but in his case I still think it's pretty cool.
