Description

This is an illustration from Marion Crowell Ryder's 1941 juvenile novel, SCUTTLE WATCH -- a story of a sea-faring family named the Crosbys. This is the only novel that Raymond ever fully illustrated, although he did do at least one other dustjacket illustration that I am aware of. This illo. is a chapter ender (!) from page 39. I purchased this original in November, 2003.
