ONE OF MY FAVORITE WORKS IN MY COLLECTION, A COMPLETE 8 PAGE STORY BY GENE COLAN, THIS
STORY CAME OUT IN 1967, GENE HAD JUST TAKEN OVER DAREDEVIL; GENE WAS ADEPT DOING SUPER-HEROES(DAREDEVIL, CAPTAIN AMERICA, AVENGERS) AS WELL AS HORROR(DR. STRANGE,TOMB OF DRACULA). THIS STORY WAS RENDERED IN GENE'S RARELY SEEN INK WASH TECHNIQUE, WHICH WAS
OFTEN USED BY OTHER CREEPY ARTISTS, EVEN STEVE DITKO DID SOME STORIES USING THIS TECHNIQUE, GENE'S USE OF ODDLY SHAPED PANELS ARE ALSO OF INTEREST.

Colan's wash stories for Warren are probably his greatest work artistically. Owning a complete one is really special. Congratulations!

Thanks for sharing this lovely complete story by the Dean! I especially love Gene's take on Uncle Creepy here. Great stuff!

A prime 1960's Colan wash story is a very rare and special thing! Thanks for posting this gem!
