DescriptionOriginal posted comments from 2008: Michael Lovitz was gracious enough last year to sell me this interior page from one of the great Shooter/Perez/Marcos stories that I fondly remembered as a child. It was my first exposure to the Grim Reaper, and I loved him as a villain.UPDATE: It is with great sadness that I announce that this page is no longer in my collection. In today's market, one may have to make sacrifices to acquire other pages. This page was a casualty, but it has moved to a great home. I have to thank Michael Lovitz for allowing me to own this page for the last 14 years. This page resonated with me because Jim Shooter, George Perez, and Pablo Marcos came up with a great one issue storyline that featured an old villain and a great dramatic dynamic among the characters. It is here in this issue that you really feel Wonder Man's true hesitation with embracing his superhero capabilities, and it is also here that you start to see Shooter developing the Scarlet Witch to be a Bad-A$$ who will take the offensive. Very nice, Philip! I love how George draws the Beast and the machinery in the first three panels. Thanks for sharing, and keep up the posting!

Philip - I'm waiting for the day that you'll post just a very good page or -gasp- even an average page. No such luck, every single page here is really outstanding. Thanks for sharing your precious plundering with us on CAF. Congratulations!

This is one of those pages from an issue I also fondly recall reading a thousand times! Great Beast panels! Didn't know this Perez artist at all, just knew as a kid his art was awesome!

Wow...you own a good chunk of my favorite childhood comic book memories. It was a great time to be a comic book fan....wasn't it?
