The rain effect and the use of negative space to create the gargoyle in this piece is absolutely breathtaking! Congratulations on adding another beautiful piece to your already-jaw dropping collection!!! :D

Yeah, that's pretty sweet! I like the rain effect and you're right, Sale is one of the names from recent times that I most associate with the World's Greatest Detective!

Ari Ari Ari....... I have always been a fan of ur collection but this is the first time i can say that i have collectors envy.....Tim Sale ranks very high for me & this cover quality commission is an example of why.....i hate u....not really ;)

I think Tim Sale has been one of the top 3 artists to work on batman over the last 15 years. This highlights everything that makes Tim Sale's version of batman what it is.It would make a terrific Batman cover. Congrats Ari

Very crudely drawn picture, whatever the body of the batman was going for was ruined by the face that looked as if someone carved it up like a jack o lantern. While having a rather nice backdrop the rest of the picture appears flat lacking practically any depth. The rain looks as if the artist took a ruler and just made line after line with different shades.... The piece had potential but could have been much better, somewhat half assed
