DescriptionHad a nice lunch with my buddy Ben today. He and his daughter had gone to SDCC and I wanted to hear all about it, since I was unable to attend. I also wanted to talk to him about the signing he had last weekend for his ASM 900 cover. Ben drew one of the 13 variant covers for the title's 900th issue. When Ben showed up for our lunch, he gave me this signed and remarqued print of his cover. Luckily, I had a nice empty frame waiting at home, and it fit beautifully. Wish I could have gone to the signing, but Larry Tun was visiting from the other coast, and we ended up pulling a 7-hour art viewing session at the house (with a 1-hour break for lunch). At least Marcus was there to represent. I'm telling you, that Marcus is everywhere. He's everywhere on CAF, on every YouTube show, at every convention, every comic signing, anything to do with the hobby and you can bet Marcus will be involved. LOL! Anyway, my thanks to Ben for this incredibly handsome gift. Ben is as nice as he is talented, and he is phenomenally talented. Multi-talented, in fact (animator, comic artist, toy designer, and art teacher). Thank you my friend! It's a true privilege knowing you.

What a great story - and the remarqued print looks absolutely fantastic! Thanks for sharing it!

Marcus has obviously developed his own cloning technology so that he can be everywhere. The Marcus Wai Clone Saga!! Coming soon to your local comic book store!
This is a really cool cover, and the color print looks great framed! It's fun trying to figure out each villain from the most basic of image: Electro bolt, Ock tentacle, Kraven spear point, Mysterious wisp of smoke, Sandman something or other, taloned hand (Not sure) and Vulture tip of wing.

A Marcus clone? Oh, hell no! I like Marcus as much as the next guy, but I don't think I could take two of him. I mean, there are days when even one is too many. LOL

Looks like that frame used to have something that now belongs to Larry. Poor Larry. 7 hours could be considered a day of work.

Very interesting (and very logical) guess. I could see where my description would lead you to that conclusion. Larry visits and I have an empty frame. But no, the frame is from another recent purchase that I removed for scanning and just didn't put back. Now, Larry did go home with something. But not from me. I was not the only person he visited. Will leave it to him to reveal, if and when he chooses.
Anyway, hope you guys had fun at Ben's signing. Ben told me Andy was there too, so I'm really sorry I missed it (not that I didn't have a great time with Larry). Apparently the turnout was great, and the shop actually ran out of copies of the book for him to sign. By the way, being as how you and your phone always seem to be at the ready, I'm surprised that there were no pics of the signing posted on your gallery.

Marcus is like a great McCartney song; he's here, there, and everywhere! :) Beautiful cover and print, and signing or no, it sounds like a great day, well-spent (especially since you were able to catch up with Benjamin later - and how kind of him to share this print! It looks great)! Congrats, Eric!

Great print of a terrific cover! I'm so jealous of that 7-hour viewing session you had. We've got to do that some time!

Just give me the date and time. There's a spot on the sofa with your name on it. Thanks for the comment buddy.
