With tearful eyes we watched you suffer A golden heart stopped beating On March 25, 2008 my father lost his brave struggle with cancer. On behalf of our family, my thanks to all of you for your thoughts, prayers, and emotional support. Following in our tradition of 40 days of mourning, this gallery will remain dark until May 5th. I only met your father once, but he was nothing but kind and hospitable to me...I could tell right away he was a good man. All the best to you and your family during this difficult time.

Eric, I didn't know your dad but judging by the type of guy you are I am sure he was an amazing individual. I too lost someone near and dear to me not too far back and the wonderful memories I have of her continue to put a smile on my face everyday. I am positive you made your dad proud and he will continue to watch over you and guide you until you meet again. My heart goes out to you and your family during this most difficult time. Eric, although his heart grew still it's echo will never fade. I'll ask my Dad to have a look in on yours. Maybe he can show him around. Godspeed in your healing.

I lost a best friend from college at 27 years old to cancer and one of my biggest fear in life is to lose my father. My heart goes out to you Eric.

Your sincere dedication is beyond special. Speaking with you about your father was valued and knowing the love you have for your family only shows how unique you are as a kind open hearted person my friend. Know that your father will live on in you and all that you touch. He is proud of you, I know. I know or the fact that I am honored to know the light that you shine on so many. Finally found this 'in memoriam' thread and I wanted to add my thoughts. My condolences, Eric. I haven't yet had to endure the loss of a parent, but I would imagine the experience to be one full of strife. I hope you are by now on the mend.
