Description

Andi Watson is perhaps best known for his small-press comic Skeleton Key, but I'm a much bigger fan of his slice-of-life looks, such as the spectacular Breakfast After Noon, Dumped and Slow News Day. He's able to convey a lot of humanity with his minimalist style.

While that style is evident with this fun, cartoony sketch, there's nothing minimal about it. Watson's use of various colored markers really makes the image and scene pop.

Obtained at Comic-Con International San Diego in 2003.
