DescriptionRetribution Time! NOT!The Scarlet Witch wanted to return the favor to Count Nefaria for burying the Avengers underneath a building from earlier in the issue. Iron Man returned back to the Avengers in this issue, and he had some fight scenes with Count Nefaria on the following page. Daren Domina now owns that page, and it is in his gallery (shameless plug!). However, this page shows the futility that the Avengers had trying to bring down our good Count. Notice how he takes out several Avengers in the final panel. Jim Shooter at his peak writing with Byrne and Marcos making a great team for just these three issues. I see that I have already received two comments on panels four and five about the Scarlet Witch. Who drew her better - Perez or Byrne from this era? Both artists are incredible talents, but you have to remember that Marcos inked them both on the run of issues from 160 to 168. While I do not have a preference either way, John and Pablo rendered her beautifully in both panels on this page. Let me know your thoughts. If you need a reference for George Perez's rendering the Scarlet Witch, then go to Robert Frey's gallery to see his Avengers 161 page with the Scarlet Witch in repose attacking Ultron. I love both George and John's Wanada equally and the inks WERE a huge part of this Avengers run so spectacular!
