DescriptionAs a comic reader, I believe that "Born Again" should have been the last Daredevil story. Don't you remind that great last page (look for it here on CAF in the Steven Lee gallery), where Murdock and Karen walk happily togheter, smiling as if there was no tomorrow? The perfect image of happiness - that, for his own definition, cannot last. That should have been THE END, period. This page shows one of the few moments of peace for Murdock and Karen: their lone moment of sunshine, after the rainfalls, and before the storm. The image of Karen sleeping with the costume is, at least for me, well, very moving, and touching. It has been staying with me from more than 20 years as one of the fondest memories of my comics days. Social/Sharing |

Fantastic page. BORN AGAIN has really held up. Mazzucchelli just makes it look so easy.

This was the only issue I bough during it's newstand release. Born Again. My 8 year old mind was never the same. One of my favorite pages.

The Born Again storyline as a whole was a great read, and perhaps Miller's last great Daredevil story. What elevated Born Again above subsequent fare was not only the great Mazzuchelli art (which evinced the movement, power and grace of Miller in his prime), but also, the truly insightful moments made the story that much more moving and powerful - just like the moment that you have here. A thoughtful and touching page. Congratulations on a very special acquisition.

Beautiful page and a perfect example of why the Mazzucchelli/ Miller Born Again run worked so well.

Poetic, gourgous, emotional. perfect spotting of blacks and use of light. Style and grace, true stroy telling at a time with a comic world gone mad with eye candy. A real keepsake and worthy of any collection.

A memorable storyline. Dave did some fantastic work during his time on Daredevil. A great page and a greater moment in Matt's life.

Beautiful page - pure poetry in comics form. Sometimes the quiet pages are the best. Miller and Mazzuchelli are made for each other!

I don't agree that it should have been the last DD story but its changes should have remained the new status quo. He's DD, he has some powers and he lives in Hell's Kitchen. The story showed the folly of a lawyer being the alter ego of a super-hero.
