Description

Leo O'Mealia (1884-1960) was both an early contributor to comic books during their Golden Age, and a terrific sports and editorial cartoonist for The Daily News. His L'il Lion accompanied all of his sports cartoons in lieu of a signature.

I love Leo's Lion. His cover's for Action/Detective were the best. He was a damn fine artist.
