When I first started collecting comic art many, many years ago, I could find these wonderful little specialty pieces from autograph dealers quite easily. They were an affordable way for a young collector to find a nice example of a piece of art for much less than a published strip or illustration. I've never lost my love of these kinds of sketches and drawings, though they have become much more popular over the years, and sadly, much harder to find.
