Description

Interior illustration for the story by Murray Leinster published in the Fall 1954 edition of Thrilling Wonder stories.

Virgil Finlay (1944-1971) was a prolific illustrator in the age of SF pulps.

I first discovered Finlay art in the paperback edition of Gerry De La Ree's Book of Virgil Finlay. This was a reprint of the limited hardcover edition.
To say I was enthralled would be an understatement. So I tracked down the hardcover edition and also discovered that there five more books in the series which I eventually tracked down and acquired.

I do not think I have ever seen this Finlay before in any of the books on his work. He did so many. Its a pity they are not all available on one site online.
