Description

This new hybrid is a tribute to the French director Jean-Luc Godard and the Disney comics artist Paul Murry.

"Breathless" is a 1960 movie about a small-time thief who steals a car and impulsively murders a motorcycle policeman. Wanted by the authorities, he reunites with a hip American journalism student and attempts to persuade her to run away with him to Italy.

Alberto's illustration here sees Scuttle, a weasel-like character created by Murry in 1951 that helps Peg-Leg Pete in all his plots (robberies, frauds, etc.), as the sociopath and thief Michel Poiccard (interpreted by Belmondo in the movie).
Fantastic composition and beautiful ink work in one of the "brightest" hybrids.
