You know, I am and always have been a huge fan of Disney parodies.
One of the most amazing stories in this genre surely is Giovan Battista Carpi's masterpiece "Guerra e Pace" ("War and Peace", inspired by Leo Tolstoy's novel), published on Topolino (MIckey Mouse) magazine #1604 in 1986.

I always desired a piece by Carpi, one of the greatest all time Italian Disney Masters, but I wanted to have a significant piece, something both from the period I love the most (Carpi's from late 60s to the end of 80s) and from a big story: "Guerra e Pace" is just perfect.

Here's a page with Donald Duck (he's the count Paperzukoff in the story) in a sequence that is sort of auto-conclusive: Donald is in Pietroburgo, officially for studies but actually living a life of laziness and parties, and we see him abducted by his uncle's (Scrooge) assistant, Platon, that puts him abruptly in a suitcase. Donald's expressions are just amazing.

Carpi here is at his top, fantastic storytelling and unsurpassed elegance.
