Description

Wondercity is a series created by Giovanni Gualdoni in 2005 that should have run for at least 9 issues in its first story arc but the project was suddenly interrupted at issue 6.

Wondercity is an imaginary city located in Africa and the events in the story take place starting from the 30s. The idea behind this city is the utopia of creating a place where science and technology could evolve, respecting Nature, thanks to the collaboration of the Earths' greatest minds.
Technology is more advanced than what you can expect in the 30s and the city's architecture looks like a mix between african architecture and art noveau.
In the city, from 1926, there's the "College of Wonders" where you can find people with supernatural powers: the first class of this school is called "Talent Team" and actively participate to the defense of the city.

Stefano Turconi is the artist that first helped to visually create this magnificent world.
