DescriptionCaptain Rogers (also known as Geremy Reginald Rogers) is a fictional comic book character in the western genre, created by Giorgio Pezzin (script) and by Giorgio Cavazzano (art), published in Italy, between 1981 and 1989, by "Il Giornalino".Pezzin wrote the stories until the beginning of 1983, then Franēois Corteggiani followed till the end. Captain Rogers is an American patriot, a trapper wearing leather hat and suit, long hair and thick mustache, giving orders to a handful of rangers. The stories take place in the years preceding the Independence War, he fights against any kind of tyranny, amidst native Americans, crooks, pirates, colonists, poachers, and hunters moving in an environment rich in forests and not rarely covered with snow. Sworn enemies are the English soldiers (in red jacket) in their forts made of wood. Otto Wurstel (then Karl) is Rogers' partner, a small German guy from Nuremberg, goofy and with a thick white mustache, camouflaging wearing a red jacket and always bringing with him a shoulder bag. These adventures most of the time were short stories (from 7 to 12 pages), only the last episode is 46 pages long. This is a truly magnificent page (#8, the last one) from the story "Avventura in cittą" written by Corteggiani (it was his third story) and first published in "Il Giornalino" #33 in 1983. You can see Rogers and his partner escaping from the fort in a masterful storytelling sequence where the Master also makes use of his amazing silhouettes. And it's snowing (don't ask me why I simply love snow)! Owning a Captain Rogers page was really one of my dreams and this page also has everything I could have asked for. Pure awesomeness. Huge thanks to Giorgio and Francesco!!! Paper size: 31 x 43 cm Social/Sharing |

Fantastic and very rare page by the Venetian master! Now you're probably in need of something from Altai & Jonson :)

I’d also love a Smalto & Jonny page... truth is, if Captain Rogers’ aren’t easy to find, A&J and S&J are something like “Mission: Impossible”
