DescriptionOne of my favorite comic book motifs is when a superhero is matched up against another superhero's main villain.And in this issue, Spidey gets to continue an adventure that he is having with Thor's #1 baddie, LOKI! What makes this whole unlikely 'team-up' even more enjoyable is that both Spidey and Loki pride themselves on being mischievous and clever, though in very different ways. The issue actually begins with the two of them sharing quips as they sit on the edge of a building eating hot dogs, and the fun continues from there. As far as the cover image goes, I love the way that Loki is presented in mystical silhouette amid a ton of 'Kirby crackle.' Spidey, on the other had, has an almost ethereal (or electrified) look to him. It's just a very unique image that definitely caught my eye when the comic first appeared on the racks in 2004. It’s interesting I immediately thought “Electro” when seeing this due to the Krackle! You’re right, though, uncommon matchups are fun! I like the juxtaposition of the Spidey with no spot blacks vs. the background. Congrats!
