DescriptionTonight I am posting the 2nd and 3rd print covers to the most recent reboot of The Avengers.This particular cover was actually the first page splash to the issue, which features an image similar to the 1st print cover, but here the current Avengers are replaced by their counterparts from 1,000,000 BC. I have really been enjoying this incarnation of the title, which has been featuring stories about the team that have origins dating back to those Avengers of 1,000,000 BC. (In fact, Iron Man is currently trapped in the far, far distant past, and I am super excited to see what happens there). The most recent story line, ending in issue #30, involved the Star Brand, which is a mark that gives its bearer infinite, god-like powers, limited only by the wielder's imagination. In this image, you can see that Star Brand mark on the Hulk, who wielded that enormous power back in the mists of time. Social/Sharing |

Just a dynamic splash of newly (or...oldly?) designed incarnations of the Avengers! All really look great but I dig the looks on the Panther (no bias of course) and Phoenix - so no nonsense. Love it. Congrats, Paul!

Despite not relating to any of these characters, I still love the aesthetics. The pencils and inks are so exquisite!
