DescriptionQuirky Week continues with this variant cover featuring monkey versions of Cyclops (complete with visor) and Young X-Men Anole, Rockslide, Dust and others. What are they doing? Why, they're monkeying around of course!! Humberto's style is perfect for whimsical covers like this. Thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

The smaller monkeys are cute, though I didn't notice that was Cyclops' visor, so I'm glad you pointed that out! But whay is the large gorilla all scaly like a dinosaur?

Those are rocks. Rockslide has a rocky hide, so his monkey form would of course have a rocky hide. I think that's the transitive property, but my mathematics is rusty.

Heh, quirky week is going strong. I've been enjoying the fun art posts. From well-remembered telephone scrums to X-Apes, heh. I love the two grooming each other. Did Wolverine phone in to make Scott a baboon? Seems like a Logan move. Fun cover. Congrats!

So Super-Monkeys throwing Super-feces??? Talk about a fastball special. You got some serious cleaning up to do.

Quirky week's GOTTA have a Ramos add! It's a quirky cover for sure but still artistically so nice - you get the sense Ramos had fun with it! And, *ahem ahem*, Rockslide is technically an ape there not a monkey. Just saying ;) Though I'm not sure if "technically" is the right word, cuz he's still a mutant rock guy, right?! OK I'm done.Congrats!

Haha, Yeah I'll admit I got lazy and grouped them all under "monkey," but I was afraid I'd mess it up otherwise. Plus I did figure my commenters would help out with the classifications. Like you pointing out that Rockslide is actually a rocky mutant ape, and JH making the funny point that due to a phone call from Wolverine, Cyclops was made into a baboon. This has been a very fun week. :)
