Wow! Stunning piece. Just amazing at how much Mark has grown as an artist over the years. I also like Rogue front and center. Nice to see someone other than Wolverine in these group shots for change. Although it IS cool to see him and Cyclops flanking Rogue on both sides. Gives the image a nice balance. This is what display art is all about. How convenient that it was already framed for you. Just hang and stare.....and stare.....and stare. LOL

Man, I'm so used to seeing really brightly colored covers from Brooks, I'd forgotten there was a time he did do classic pen and ink work! Fantastic piece. But wow, what an odd thing for a guy known as a penciller in Larroca to have been assigned as the inker. I wonder what prompted that decision at the time? Either way, it looks really great. Beautifully pencilled AND inked. Kudos!
Thanks for the great comment! Yeah, the Marvel database for this comic has Salvador Larroca listed as the cover inker, but I'm not so sure about that. Since only Mark Brooks signed the piece, I'm thinking he probably did both pencils and inks.

Incredible, I really love Mark Brook's B&W work. I know his painted pieces are what gets most of the focus nowadays... but this is dope!
Nice! Many an X-Man featured - 21 if I count right. Or, 20 + Namor ;) Always been on the fence regarding his "X-Menness" :) Wolvie and Cyke particularly look great, and though Iceman is smaller there in the back/on the bottom, Iove that Brooks added the detail of Bobby's ice slide functioning as background from top to bottom! Congrats!
