DescriptionWhat a fun idea it was to bring the original five X-Men to the present time!Having past and present versions of Cyclops, Iceman, Beast and Angel interacting with each other made for some very interesting stories. (The young versions sure had a lot of good & bad stuff to catch up on). And it was so nice to have a Jean Grey around once again. Apparently the five have since been shunted back to their own timeline (happened in the eXtermination crossover of 2019). I missed all that, but I loved the stories and artwork during those original two All-New X-Men volumes. Very happy to have snagged this awesome cover by the great artistic team of Stuart Immonen and Wade von Grawbadger! Social/Sharing |

I never know where you find any of the covers that you do, but here's to another great one!

I just figured out the reason for the original X-Men costumes! Prof X was bald and self-conscious, so he forced it on his pupils! I bet he psychically forced Iceman not to grow ice hair.

Nice, I like the diagonal split between the two teams and although like most fans, I'm partial to the New X-Men, Immonen did a great job drawing the original team. In fact, that's my favourite part of the cover. Kudos!

It's two covers in one! Old school X-Men with their school uniforms have a mighty new shine with the Von Grawbadger inks just like he inks the modern Avengers team!

Love the X-men and the Avengers, why not stick them together? Very nice representations of both teams!

Immonen is one of the true greats of current times. Excellent example of his art (have to disagree on the whole old x-men coming back today concept though...)

Nice! Yeah, Immonen and von Grawbadger killed it on this series, right from the start. Great cover example here, and I particularly like the OG young X-men team shot at the bottom. Also, reminds me of older covers that would actually do a panel break or 2. Don't see those as much these days! Congrats!

Fantastic cover by my favorite artistic team! I really loved this run (and didn't know the original X-Men had been returned to their timeline! I'll have to go back and re-read those first 66 issues to see what changed, now that they're back! :) ) and loved the manner of challenges that assaulted the First Five when they popped by for a visit. Including, of course, a run-in with Earth's Mightiest. Great display of heroes here, and sticking the Gen X-ers in the bottom left corner, on the defensive (with the Avengers, armed and ready, and towering over them) keeps our heroes solidly in the camp of the underdog, just where we like them best. Super cool pick up, Paul! Congrats!

Usually not a big fan of split covers, but I like the way this is designed and the composition of team members in their respective halves. Plus I've always been a sucker for the OG X-team.
