Description

Just love this quirky & highly detailed cover. Storm looks especially sexy. Love all the Bamfs on the colorized version too. Must have been added digitally.

In this issue, the teachers of the Jean Grey School have been brainwashed into becoming circus performers.

Storm is Windrider the escape artist; Beast is Beastmaster (and a juggler apparently); Iceman is Iceface, the living popsicle who swallows fire; Rachel Grey is Starchilde the fortune-teller; Warbird is Bird of War, a knife-throwing artist, and Kitty is Shadowcat, her assistant.

Wolverine is Revolto the Clown.

Toad works as a elephant feces cleaner. Poor Toad.

It's THE GREATEST FREAK SHOW ON EARTH!

I'm guessing Iceman never learned about Frosty as a child.

A fun throwback to the Arcade issues from the Byrne run! Storm is the best part of this cover for sure!

Ahh, great add, Paul!  Seeing these Wolvie and the X-Men posts really takes me back to the weird, wacky, fun series!  First noticed Bradshaw's work on this book - his cartoony style was a perfect match.  Case in point :)  His renditions of the circus-ized (not a word, but that's OK) are on point!  Congrats, man!

Cirscus-ized? Sounds painful.

Ah yes, I remember my circus-cision ceremony like it was yesterday.   And not to brag, but I totally did it without a net.

The only thing that could have made this better is if Nick drew Wolverine to look a bit more like Hugh Jackman. Then this would be a great homage to both those fun Wolverine movies and the Greatest Showman. Congrats Paul on your billionth cover!

Ooh, I didn't even make that Hugh Jackman/Greatest Showman connection!  Bravo!  And thanks for the super comment.

Very cool Xmen cover!  Yes very reminiscent of when the Xmen first battled Arcade!  Congrats!

WOW, Paul - another outstanding cover add to your ever-expanding AMAZING collection of original art!  I love how it's not quite a throwback to Uncanny 111 (where Mesmero hypnotized them all into joining the circus), but there are enough elements there that you can't dismiss it outright, either.  I particularly love how Storm is picking the locks of her chains (which poor Wolverine had to deal with in 111).  Congrats, Paul!
