DescriptionAnother Ladies Week begins!Starting with this absolutely gorgeous Harley Quinn cover by the masterful Jay Anacleto. This is the cover to an art book that features all kinds of variant covers by different creators that helped make the Maid of Mischief magnificent! Ever since Kirk Dilbeck posted the cover, I've been pining after it. I finally felt I was ready to pull the trigger, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I love the sexiness of Harley, the whole whimsical vibe of the scene, and the inclusion of the two very cool-looking hyenas. Jay has such a realism to his art. This is my second cover by him, and I hope to get more in the future. Thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

I'm gonna make this short and sweet. I've long studied the hunting and behavioural habits of hyenas, so that's all I care about on this cover. Hyenas kick ass!

I was eyeing this one too. It's sooo good! Really enjoyed the good/bad board in the background. One of my favorite Jay covers to be sure!

Wizardry with the pencils to bring so much life and textures! The flat images of the pin ups she has on her wall are great cartooning as well!

This is truly spectacular, Paul! Great texture and touch on this piece, and as much as Harley looks amazing, her blackboard is hilarious, and the background details are sublime (I love the tape around the bottom chair leg support... which leads the viewer to notice the casually stored RPG under the chair), it is the hyenas that steal the show here. BEAUTIFUL shading on their coats, and the musculature beneath the fur of the one on the right is just superb. (I love the detail of a tiny chunk having been taken out of the tip of its ear, too.) Incredible piece, Paul! Awesome pick up!

Unreal pencil rendering! Anacleto's truly MEAN when slingin' that graphie, eh?! Also dig the thicker dividing lines, too. And LOVE her face here - gorgeous. OK. I gotta get an Anacleto piece soon. Whew. Congrats, man! Worthy start to another ladies week!
