DescriptionLost this one at auction, but then happily managed to acquire it by making an offer to the owner.I've always been a fan of the good Doctor and his lovely lady Clea. And hey, if you're going to have a villain on the cover, it HAS to be the Dread Dormammu !!! And I love having the title stats too. DESCRIPTION: Gil Kane and Dan Adkins Doctor Strange #9 Dread Dormammu Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1975). "From the molten heart of Earth itself, there strikes the dread Dormammu -- and this time not even Doctor Strange can stop him." Dormammu makes a fiery entrance in this dazzling delineation penciled by Gil Kane and inked by Dan Adkins. Paul, a superb Gil Kane masterpiece! I think Dan Adkins was Gil Kane's best inker! I can't wait to see a Dr Strange movie! When you add Dormammu to the cover, then you have a Bronze Age classic!

Wonderful cover!! It has all the elements of a great Dr. Strange cover--The supreme sorcerer himself, his lady Cleo and of course, the Dread Dormammu!!! Marvelous!!!

Paul this is an absolutely wonderful Dr. Strange cover. And you're right it has everything you'd want on a good Doctor cover. It's fantastic!
Dormammu is just such a great villian! and this cover is high, comic-book drama at it's best.
