Description

Cover of the first edition of the first book in The Wheel of Time series, by Robert Jordan (1990).

Also was the inside cover painting on the Advance Reading Copy (see additional pic).

The definitive cover art for Robert Jordan fans. I was pretty happy to snap this up... :)

Acrylics on compressed art board (gypsum board) 24" x 32" - so very large!

I read-off the cover of this book, as it was one of two my mom gave me when I left for the army in 1992. So, its nice to get a replacement cover for one of my favourite books.

Loose connection to GRRM, as Robert Jordan (aka Ser Jordayne of the Tor for the careful reader) gave the cover endorsement on A Game of Thrones:

"Grabs hold and won't let go. It's brilliant!"

GRRM has acknowledged that "My own ICE & FIRE series might never have found its audience without the cover quote that Jim was so kind as to provide, back when A Game of Thrones was first published. I will always be grateful to him for that."

I suppose its technically for sale - but your name may have to be Jeff Bezos, or George Lucas.. ;)
