Adam Strange by Nate Stockman and Jeremiah Skipper

My first exposures to Adam Strange were his appearances in Justice League comics. He seemed pretty neat. Many years later I read the Adam Strange miniseries by Andy Diggle and Pasqual Ferry and I came to love the character. So I really loved it when Tony Bedard added him to the R.E.B.E.L.S. cast. Adam is a genuinely nice guy, a brilliant scientist, and formidable warrior. I thought that he made a nice foil to Vril Dox, who is also a brilliant scientist and formidable warrior, but is definitely not a nice guy. Anyway, I asked Nate to draw any character from the L.E.G.I.O.N./R.E.B.E.L.S. cast, and he chose Adam. Nate put Adam in a classic pose and setting, fighting off some unseen foes in the depths of space. I love how's he's got one eye closed while he aims his gun and the joy on his facial expression, because Adam genuinely loves his adventures. After I saw this in black and white, I had to ask Jeremiah Skipper to once again add his magic colors to Nate's lines, and he did a spectacular job! I love the lighting on Adam and the beautiful colors on the ray blasts and space stuff. As usual, huge thanks to Nate and Jeremiah for their always awesome commissions!

If you like this piece, then by all means go buy some of Nate's comics and/or commission him yourself.
