Description

It's always nice to find a professional, modern artist who also remembers the New Mutants with fondness, and Marc Laming is just such a professional.

When he announced pre-Convention commissions for LSCC, and I saw a rather fetching Danielle Moonstar piece he had on his webpage, I thought to ask for the Team Supreme and he was VERY keen.

Of course, precisely how keen he was when he realised just how much inking he'd let himself in for in letting his inner Bill Sienkiewicz out, is another story which I'd rather not ponder too deeply.

All in all, I'm rather glad I didn't ask him to draw a third character too (which was an option) as it might have ended his inking career for good!!

Just look at the quality of the end product! Love that Warlock is getting all protective and is just starting to shift into some sort of armour mode around Doug, and that level of motion in something as complex as Warlock is not an easy one to pull off!

Magnificent!

I love seeing the creation process too! :) He posted the progressions on Twitter, which I wasn't actually aware of (not being a Twitter using type person as yet) until after the fact, but I'm not complaining!
