DescriptionA dazzlingly colorful unused alternate cover for the book Rissa Kerguelen by E.M. Busby (1977). Both versions are cool, but I actually favor this one (see the published version in the additional images below). This piece features a favorite Powers model who appeared in many of his illustrations, including Heinlein's Friday. It was later published in The Art of Richard Powers (Paper Tiger, 2001).This piece was gifted from Powers to friend David Hartwell (publisher/editor) before eventually finding its way into our collection. acrylic 19 x 13 Social/Sharing |
