Description

Cover of "Balance of Trade" by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, published in 2003 by Meisha Merlin. Also used for the edition published by Ace Books in 2006. Approx size 25 x 38".

Although Donato has received numerous sci-fi/fantasy awards in his career, this was the first Donato painting to receive a prestigious mainstream art award, winning the Greenwich Workshop (David Usher Memorial) award at the US Society of Illustrators in 2006.

The painting was exhibited at the US Society of Illustrators 48th Annual exhibit in 2006, and appeared in "Illustrators 48" published by the US Society of Illustrators in 2006.
