Very nice prelim. But I have always thought this prelim was more likely to be for the cover of 1994 magazine issue 29, the final painting can also be found here on CAF. Quite a few Berkey prelims have inaccurate publication titles written on the back. Have a completely unrelated "Immortality Option" prelim myself which bears no obvious relationship to the book cover.

This pre-lim was obviously used as the basis of that 1994 cover. I guess either this pre-lim was mislabeled, or it was indeed done as a potential cover version for Immortality Option and then later re-purposed for 1994. But since the piece is labeled "Immortality Option #5" on the back, I'm just going with that ;)
