Description

Editor-In-Grief is probably one of Floyd Gottfredson's most celebrated stories.

Published on newspapers from March 4 to June 1 1935, tells us about Mickey Mouse becoming owner and director of a newspaper. Due to his moral integrity, he always publishes the truth standing up to the threats of gangsters, at the end managing to bring down a dirty business that involves crime, politics and law enforcement.

A story of extraordinary modernity, more than 80 years after it was first published.

Silvio Camboni is an Italian Disney artist since 1989 (as well as illustrator of many books for the French market) and I thought he could do an excellent job on this illustration, tribute to Editor-In-Grief. He did.
A delightful mix of old and new, realized in a tight pencil work that clearly shows Camboni's amazing craftsmanship.
