DescriptionDC posts continue with this fun add by my buddy Joel Gomez! From the book “The World According to the Joker”, where Mr. J gives a first person telling of his thoughts and perspectives on a range o’ topics. Pretty entertaining read, as you can imagine. And here, a recounting of his relationship with one Harleen Quinzel - “The One That Won’t Go Away” :)These are actually 2 9x12 boards that I put on top of each other as one image for easier viewing. Just a playful retelling of Harley’s origin, and what got me was panel 2 of the first page and the last panel of the second being the same image…outside of the pursuer! Also see the published pages in the additional images, as well as a sketch Joel did for me on the inside front of the hardcover. Thanks, man! Still get a chuckle when looking at these :) Social/Sharing |

KG guy
You're the reason why
She loves you so
She's the one won't go
Drew the girl who makes me feel Joel's good
Gomez line
Joker's wild
You brighten up the page
It's impossible
Harley would stay away
Harley crazy
Girl, I'll joke 'round
I want you to know
How much I want you go
Lately Batsy
Girl, I'll run 'round
Want you to see
That Batman's mean to me
You're the girl who makes the joke so good
KG Guy
Nothin' but the Gomez line

Perfect verse, and there's only ONE WAY to deliver it - One Way's way, Wai! Can't help but bob your head!!

A really fun series of images. He has a lovely, comedic and an "all ages" friendly style that really puts the fun in FUNtastic!

Come to the light...or the dark?! Depends on who you ask I guess! Either way, not sure I'll be around that long. SHOULD keep me clear o' the PB. Thanks for the add, John!

Hahaha, yeah, that's great with the 2nd and 8th panels having Joker being pursued by two very different people, and yet his level of fear is exactly the same in each instance. "The One That Won't Go Away" is right, haha! This is a ton of fun. Really diggin' the DC, keep it up!

Absolutely charming illustrations by Joel Gomez! I enjoy the light, playful tone of these sketches. Fun to see Joker's life from a different point of view. And like Paul P, I love that whether he's being chased by Batman or Harley Quinn, his expression is the same.

Really cool work here, K! Love how these images were broken down into a "Dick and Jane"-style simple storybook motif in the published work; a fun and "innocent" way of conveying some of the darker twists and turns that this tale has taken... :) KILLER sketch in the hardcover, too! Yowza! Great pick ups, KG - as usual! Very cool to see this work!

Lol, yup that "Dick and Jane" children's book is definitely the motif - it's the Joker's first stab (pun!) at it :) The dichotomy of the art/presentation and the subject matter and characters?! Too good to pass up! Thanks, Jason!

Love me some Harley Quinn. What a fun retelling of her origin from Joker's point of view. Congrats!
