Description

This is a watercolor figure study to the great BWS painting, "The Last Atlantean." Sometimes I think that it is the favorite Windsor-Smith piece in my collection.

I own the print of "The Last Atlantean" and it is one of my favorite BWS images. This study is simply breathtaking! Congrats Rich!

Simple and elegant -- the lighting from the right, from behind the barbarian figure gives the picture a strong feeling of pathos.
