DescriptionIt's "DOUBLE Significant Spidey Monday!"Tonight I am posting TWO sequential pages from Amazing Spider-Man #532 (end splash) and #533 (title splash). Both are from the 2006 Civil War saga that pitted hero against hero. Peter Parker began the war on the side of Superhero Registration, led by Tony Stark. Later on, he switched sides to the Resistance, but before doing so, in a HUGELY significant Marvel Moment, during a press conference held by Tony Stark, Peter did it! He unmasked to the WORLD! Great twist in the life of Peter Parker! That's when summer events actually had lasting effects with this eveal and Goliath and Cap's deaths. This is better than the cover which had half of the art area cut off by the production design.

Wow, how'd you manage to get BOTH pieces? What a great pair they make! Thankfully, here comes Mephisto to Rock Peter's world! I remember being surprised at Garney's selection as artist for this story, not having been associated with Spider-Man at the time. But he's fabulous, though, so it was a good choice regardless!

Ooh, key moment, to say the least! Maybe one of Pete's biggest regrets. But hey - we all learn from our mistakes, right?! :) I was ALL over reading Civil War and the ASM tie-ins. Really had me on the edge of my seat and a lot of that had to do with all the crazy developments as rendered by Garney. Like this one! Congrats!
