Smell of Brimstone, Stench of Death
written by Mike W. Barr

In a flashback tale, the 1950's Batman and Robin face off against Brimstone.
Drawn by Dave in the 50's style.

I don't collect Batman art but I recall reading the Batman reprints in the batman annuals and this page reminded me of those tales.
I purchased this page from the late Kevin Brogan many years ago.
So on New Year's Eve, I feel it's only fitting to post this page and raise a glass for my old friend.

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?

Ah, I always wondered where this one went to! A wonderful splash page featuring Gibbons doing a great job giving it a 1950's feel, yet still allowing his own style to show through. Raise a glass for Kevin Brogan!
