Description

I'm a big fan of the Dray Prescot series that DAW published in the 1970's and 1980's (and which was recently completed by Bladud Books). Written by Kenneth Bulmer under the pseudonym Alan Burt Akers, they're in the tradition of Edgar Rice Burroughs' John Carter series. We've been collecting the original art from the series whenever we can find it, and the nice thing about it having been published by DAW is that DAW usually ran several interior illos in each book.

Yesterday was a good art day, as three illustrations by Tim Kirk arrived in the mail, which I'll post here. This one is the frontispiece for the first book, "Transit to Scorpio".
