Description

From the pen of the great Franklin Booth. I don't have a clue what this was used for but I love the graphic of this piece. Very stamp like in it's design. And of course the original is so much nicer that any scan could convey.

Love Franklin Booth's work. One of the great illustrators, and his fine detailing is indeed hard to capture in a scan.

thanks to you as well. you've got some great stuff. love the foster tarzan. the booth is done on thick illustration board and is 9" x 14" (sight size) with about an inch border.

Wonderful piece, my guess was a stamp design; but I googled it and found it's actually a 1925 Bulova Watch advertisement from the Saturday Evening post. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/258675572321506063/

Once you start looking at it, it's easy to get lost in all the nooks, crannies and other details Booth managed include. Still, I can only imagine how much nicer it is in person.
