DescriptionLadies Week continues with this beautiful title splash from 1983 where Supergirl models her brand new costume for her cousin Superman, who, representing every man ever, gives the exact wrong answer when asked for his opinion.Kara does a great job of putting him in his place. And careful, Supes, her next question might be whether this outfit makes her look fat. All joking aside, I really love this splash. The awkwardness of Superman is quite comical, and Supergirl looks fantastic. Supergirl #13 was a pivotal anniversary issue with a powerful story and an iconic cover (see add'l pic). Social/Sharing |

Infantino can be hit or miss for me, but he knocked it out of the park with this one. Beautiful!

Hahaha, that's true. That's what makes it so delightfully awkward for the Boy Scout of Steel. Though I must say there must be an appropriate reaction somewhere between "It's ... er ... something" and the construction-crew-as-a-pretty-girl-walks-by reactions you mentioned. Maybe "Both stylish and heroic!" Or "Great design -- Now go kick some Lex Luthor ass!" Of course, I've had more time to think about it than poor Supes.

The Oksner inks really shine on this page, and are very evident on Supergirl's face. He had such a fantastic ability to illustrate women.

That compliment is worse than the "I'm sorry you're upset" apology. Bats would have known what to say...Strong posts for Ladies Week, Paul! Infantino and Oskner did a great job on this splash. You can see they really sweated the design with all that white out. Cool find. Congrats!

"TA DA! What do you think?" "Um...." You already messed up Supes :) Really like her expression and pose, and you're right, definitely a straight up FUN piece with the fumbling Supes and "tell it like it is" Supergirl! Congrats!
