Description1st of 2 Web of Spidey posts tonight and also the 1st of 2 that I recently picked up from Mike Burkey. I’ve wanted a nice Scarlet Spider page by Steven Butler from his (and the character’s) initial run so really glad to have picked up this nice example!I love pages showcasing the featured character in different images – here a crouching pose, followed by a lens close up, then a leaping one. Very spidery pose up top and it’s awesome that you get a full shot of the costume with that big spider on the back in the middle panel! There are a lot of nice pages in this issue so again I’m happy to have nabbed one. Also a nice bonus to have the first images of the new heroic Green Goblin at the time, Phil Urich. He’s since taken an evil turn in Dan Slott’s ASM run but regardless it’s cool to have these early shots from a very different version of the GG persona. Thanks, Mike! Social/Sharing |

This is a fantastic page with tons going on. I have always been a fan of Butler Web stuff. I especially love those bottom four panels.

You gotta love everything from that page. I considered it for a time, but didn't pull the trigger. Happy for you, man, it is indeed a great example of Steven's work on his awesome run. Congrats!

This is a wonderful page with drama and action, done in Butler's High Bronze Age style.
