DescriptionAs recently stated in the Marvel’s reprint of Miracelman #13, this art was originally planned for a t-shirt in 1986, but the t-shirt manufacturer could not properly reproduce the level of detail in John Totleben’s artwork. As a result, it would see print as an Eclipse Comics house ad around the original release of Miracleman #13. It also appeared in advance solicitations as the cover art for issue #12…even though it was never intended to be that issue’s cover.Either way, it’s as likely as I will come to owning a Totleben Miracleman cover (thank you Felix for your comment below) – it’s certainly cover quality. I have stared at this for one solid hour to start my new year. Only reason I'm leaving is the family is finally waking:-) Detail and talent of this level are rare to see. Totleben appears to have summoned a miracle from a place few artists are able to create from.Take a bow John Totleben sir as I give you a hearty four **** salute!Feel free to make a curtain call yourself my collector fiend for having the sense to add this to your mighty collection.

Classic work from a classic artist from a character who is regaining appeal once again. Great acquisition!
