DescriptionA gorgeous Donald Duck piece by the legendary Disney artist Dick Ruhl. Done on a piece of construction-type of paper which measures approximately 8 7/8" by 11 5/8", it looks to me like a mix of pencil, ink or marker, and possibly pastels. From what I've read, he was hired to work at Disney in the 1940's, and from 1947 until his retirement in 1960, he was the principal animator there. Although he is considered to be one of the top animators from the Golden Age of Disney, it seems rare to find one of his original pieces, as I haven't seen many around, and there's virtually no pieces on CAF. It is signed and dated, also including "W.D.P." (for Walt Disney Productions). A very rare and excellent example from a legendary artist, featuring one of Disney's icons and a key character of many famous animated films. It would look fantastic framed and prominently displayed, and would be a key addition to any collection, or an amazing gift.
