DescriptionAfter having his back broken by Bane in issue #497, Bruce is in a wheelchair and Jean Paul Valley has assumed the mantle of the bat. This page shows Bruce and Alfred as they head overseas to track down Tim Drake's kidnapped father. Selina Kyle has stowed away on the plane and adds some playful sex appeal to that top panel.Perhaps no costumes and no epic battle scene with Bane, but I'm still happy to add a memorable page from Knightfall with art by Aparo! Knightfall was definitely a gamechanger for Batman and this lead in to the landmark issue 500 with the finale having JPV taking over the mantle is very key to the storyline.

For just a brief second, Alfred thought this was his lucky day.

Always cool to see who takes these down. Seeing the "Knightfall," "666," and "Bane" lettering is worth the price of admission alone.

Yeah, I love seeing that familiar "KNIGHTFALL" type font right on this page! Next issue... BANE
And as Jason pointed out it is all hand lettered right on the page. Pretty impressive.
