Description

(Disney) Gargoyles was a departure from most of Disney's animated television series in that it had much darker themes and greater character complexity. It ran from 1994-1997 and focused on a clan of gargoyles led by Goliath.

This 4-cel setup on its key hand-painted original background features Hudson, the clan elder, and Bronx, the clan's gargoyle-beast. It's from the episode "The Thrill of the Hunt," which first aired November 5, 1994 and was the first episode after the 5-part pilot.
