Description

Robin Hood has always been one of the Disney classics I loved the most, and I had this idea that someday I'd find the perfect artist for a commission. I did.

I admit I discovered Oscar Mart�n's artwork late, probably because only a few of his many works have been published in Italy. When I discovered he was also a Disney artist and I saw some of his Disney works, which also included some gorgeous Robin Hood pages, I knew I had found the best artist for this commission.
I contacted him in 2014 and was happy when he agreed to do it, even though I would have had to wait for a while due to the complexity of the request. That was not an issue.

I was really happy, I find Oscar Mart�n's work to be personal but at the same time respectful of the classics... It's so dynamic that you feel it's almost like watching a cartoon. It's expressive and detailed. Storytelling is top-notch. Masterful.

I had the chance to meet Oscar and have my Robin Hood commission in my hands!
He was so kind to include all the prelims and a print of the pencils (see additional images), which blew my mind off... I was (and am) so happy for this ^_^

The illustration speaks for itself. It is a magnificent composition in which Robin and Little John (at the very center) are surrounded by the bad guys. Everything is amazingly balanced, and the characters' expressions are priceless. It's pure awesomeness.
