DescriptionThis is an imaginary story set "one year in the future." Published in 1971, at the height of the Vietnam Conflict, with Archie, Jughead, and Reggie reporting for their induction into the armer forces. I have the complete story too and will scan at some point and post. It's pure propaganda, takes the stance that while the war itself is bad, the gang need to do their patriotic duty. Playing both sides of the issue, at the end of the story, The Archie's perform at what is basically Riverdale's Woodstock, a song called "A Summer Prayer for Peace."Social/Sharing |
