Truly awesome Kirby cover--particularly when you think about Jack's service during WW2. Jack's experiences worked their way into all of his art, but likely nowhere moreso than in his war art. The inks here are really so excellent--has the classic textured, gritty Simon and Kirby look. Congrats!

This is an amazing piece of work - the inking is so secure and almost abstract at the same time. And Kirby does that crazy thing with perspective so we're looking down at the enemy and up at the approaching hero so you have to participate in the scene to really get it.

No punches pulled by Kirby. This is War and he's going to make the up close point of view action authentically raw and powerful with a death blow in this struggle. Such a great pose as well. It's a little off as if to say that it is unnatural and one must make the effort to do this to another person.
