About six months ago I discovered the art of Matt Lesniewski . The pieces he had posted on social media always captivated me. His line work and detail is superb. I have wanted to get a piece by him for a while but I was not sure what I wanted to get. Then in December of 2018 I finally read Grant Morrison, Chaz Truog, Doug Hazelwood and Tom Grummett's brilliant run on Animal Man. I marveled at the storytelling. Kicking myself that I had not read it sooner.
I finally knew what I wanted to commission Matt Lesniewski to draw and boy did he deliver. I love this piece immensely. The detail and the slight sense of whimsy works brilliantly. It captures a moment that I want to explore. What is Buddy/Animal Man doing? Why is he in this forest? It both gives us an entire story but leaves us wanting to know more.
Matt was great to work with. Timely in both his communication and completing the piece. A great experience for a great piece.

Loving Matt's work - this is a great example! Animal Man was a great choice.
